The president of Cantabria and PRC candidate for re-election, Miguel Ángel Revilla, has assured in Torrelavega that his party will win the regional elections again on May 28 , after governing the "most complicated" legislature as a result of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine "with more things going on than ever", although he has predicted a "terrible" campaign against it.

"Never in all the legislatures, which I have been president for a few times, have there been more things going on ," said Revilla during his speech at the public presentation of the mayor of Torrelavega, Javier López Estrada, as a candidate for re-election. in the town.

The event was held yesterday at the IES Marqués de Santillana with the attendance of several hundred people and in which the Minister of Industry and Tourism and general secretary of the Torrelaveguense regionalists, Javier López Marcano, also participated, reports the PRC in a release.

Despite the milestones achieved in the last four years, including the "fulfillment of a good part of the commitments" signed with the region by the Government of Spain and the "promotion" of projects such as La Pasiega, the Phone Number List  MUPAC and the construction of The Proton Therapy Unit of Valdecilla, Revilla has predicted a "terrible" campaign of "insults, slander and lies", based on "mouse and creeping arts." In this sense, he has criticized the attempt to link the PRC with the corruption scandal carried out by a highway official, "despite the fact that not a single politician appears in the summary" , and has regretted that "they try to tarnish the Government's management." creating the image of a corrupt Cantabria. "Cantabria is a region of honest people and a black chickpea cannot spoil the stew," he stressed.

For this reason, he has claimed that the regionalists "have nothing to hide" and has urged public officials and activists to work during the next two months "without insulting anyone" to win the elections again.

Revilla has stressed that, after more than 40 years of political experience, the PRC is "a consolidated tide" and has taken it for granted that it will re-validate the Mayor's Office of Torrelavega in May and will obtain "three or four more" than the 45 it has in this moment, while considering it "very likely" that one of them will be that of Santander, led by Felipe Piña.
