Drive towards Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie. Barkot is a picturesque village located at an altitude of 4,035 ft and offers stunning views of the Bandarpunch mountain range. Day 2: Barkot - Janakichatti - Yamunotri - Jankichatti - Barkot Today you proceed to the first dharm of the Char Dham district - Yamunotri. Have an early breakfast at the hotel and drive to Janakichatti, which is a trekking base for Yamunotri located at 7,717 ft. Start walking from Janakichatti to reach Yamunotri temple. The 6 km uphill road takes about 2-3 hours one way. Immerse yourself in the stunning scenery as you pass through meadows and gorges.
